Putin: Someone might be unhappy about ongoing peace process in Ukraine
DUSHANBE. Sept 12 (Interfax) - The West's new sanctions against Russia might have been prompted by someone's discontent with the fact that a peace process had been started in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"I don't even understand what these new sanction steps are related to. Perhaps someone doesn't like it that the process was following a peace scenario," Putin told journalists in Dushanbe on Friday.
