Kyiv unhappy with Russia delivering aid to Ukraine

KYIV. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Ukrainian representatives were not given a chance to inspect the Russian humanitarian aid which arrived in Luhansk on Saturday, said Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman for the National Security and Defense Council.

"This early morning, Russia carried out an illegal movement of the so-called humanitarian cargo in breach of the established regulations for border and customs clearance, without the presence of representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), through the Donetsk (Russia) - Izvarine (Ukraine) checkpoint. Ukrainian border guards and customs officers were not allowed to inspect and clear the goods and the transport vehicles," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday.

Earlier Russian media outlets said the humanitarian aid had been checked by Ukrainian representatives at the border checkpoint.
