Tupolev Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3 bombers move to operative airfields in Eastern Military District check
MOSCOW. Sept 15 (Interfax) - Russian Long-Range Aviation planes have moved to operative airfields in the course of the surprise check of the Eastern Military District, a source in the Russian Defense Ministry's press service and information department told Interfax.
"Strategic Tupolev Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 bombers have been moved from their bases to operative airfields of the Eastern Military District," he said.
The Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 crews will go on patrol missions and give aerial support to Pacific Fleet forces in the surprise check of the Eastern Military District.
An Ilyushin Il-78 tanker plane will be refueling them in progress.
Every flight of Long-Range planes of the Russian Air Force is consistent with international regulations for flights over neutral waters and borders of foreign states will not be violated.
