Putin counts on constructive dialogue with Atambayev over Eurasian integration process

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on his birthday during their telephone conversation on September 17, the Kremlin said.

Putin also sent Atambayev a congratulatory telegram.

"I highly value the understanding and trust that have been established between us and I hope the constructive dialogue and cooperation with you will continue, including over Kyrgyzstan joining the Eurasian integration project," Putin said in his telegram to the Kyrgyz president published on the Kremlin website.

The Russian head of state wished Atambayev good health, welfare and success in his work.

"As a responsible head of state you have earned respect among your countrymen and high authority in the Central-Asian region and beyond. Your personal contribution in the strengthening of friendly Russian-Kyrgyz relations is quite significant," the message said.
