AFK Sistema files appeals as part of Bashneft case with different courts, Prosecutor's Office - source
MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax) - Lawyers representing AFK Sistema and persons accused of involvement in illegal sales of shares in oil producer Bashneft have filed appeals against investigators' measures with different courts, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax on Thursday.
"Several complaints have already been lodged that call into question the legality of law enforcers' actions," he said.
According to the source, the legality of the Russian Investigative Committee's actions as part of the Bashneft case will be assessed both by courts in different regions of the country and the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
"An appeal protesting against the opening of this case has been filed directly with the Prosecutor's Office," he said.
