Putin sets task of breakthrough in real sector's competitiveness in 1.5-2 years

MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax) - Work which would have taken years to accomplish in an earlier period will now have to be done within the next two years to boost the competitiveness of the real sector of the Russian economy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"I would like to stress that we will need to achieve a real breakthrough in the next 1.5-2 years towards higher competitiveness of the Russian real sector and to do the work which might have previously taken us years," Putin said at a State Council meeting dedicated to the development of domestic business and higher levels of competitiveness.
