Total intends to continue working with Russia - Novak
MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax) - France's Total will continue working with Russian companies despite sanctions imposed against Russia, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with TV channel Russia-24.
"I recently met with Total's chief for Russia. Our partners say that they are ready to continue working in Russia and that [the situation] should not concern the projects that have already begun," he said.
Novak added that the lawyers from companies with project in Russia are currently reviewing the nuances of the sanctions that have been imposed.
"This now concerns the fact that we must deal with each company, each situation, and each agreement thoroughly," he said, adding that looking forward, the company did not see anything negative occurring. "Companies are continuing to work, projects are still being carried out and we can talk only talk about a few risks," Novak said.
