Total to adapt to sanctions, continue working in Russia - de Boisseson
SOCHI. Sept 19 (Interfax) - In spite of sanctions, Total intends to adapt and continue working in Russia, the head of General Director of Total E&P Russie, Jacques de Boisseson, said at the international investment forum in Sochi Friday.
"We don't like working under conditions of sanctions, but we are continuing operations in spite of sanctions," he said.
"We will adapt in order to continue operating in Russia," de Boisseson said, adding that Total was developing long-term partner relations in Russia.
"Sanctions are not a means of fighting with problems. It's not right and it doesn't work. I would prefer for political problems to be resolved using political tools," he said.
Energy Minister Alexander Novak previously told TV channel Russia-24 that Total was intending to continue its operations in Russia.
