Ukraine Boeing tragedy used by some countries to escalate international tensions - Churkin
NEW YORK. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The crash of the Malaysian Boeing over Ukraine was deliberately used by a number of countries for escalating international tensions, said Vitaly Churkin, Russia's Ambassador to the United Nations.
"This tragedy was deliberately used by a number of countries for sharp aggravation of international tensions," he said at a UN Security Council session.
"Straight after the incident, even before any credible data was received, public claims were made, laying full blame on militias and accusing our country of responsibility for having committed a serious international crime," the diplomat said.
