Ukrainian military report attacks in eastern Ukraine
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian military have blamed the military units in eastern Ukraine for ceasefire violations in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
"Checkpoints near the populated areas of Nizhneteploye, Shchastya, Stanitsa Luhanska (Luhansk region), and also Trudovskoye, Hranitnoye, Krasnogorovka, Slavnoye, Krynka, Avdiyivka, and Nivomikhailovka in the Donetsk region came under artillery and mortar fire," the press center for the Ukrainian military operation has reported.
The press center has reported the Ukrainian forces had returned the fire, killing up to twenty militiamen and destroying one reactive salvo system Grad and four mortars.
The headquarters of the militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, for its part, has accused the Ukrainian military of launching a missile attack on Donetsk on Saturday morning while the Russian humanitarian convoy was unloading there.
