Donetsk residents report weapons fire - city authorities

KYIV. Sept 24 (Interfax) - Tensions persisted in Donetsk on Wednesday afternoon, the Donetsk City Council said in a report posted on its website.

"Tensions persisted in Donetsk as of 1 p.m. There have been reports of weapons fire from residents of the Kyivsky district. The number of substations disconnected from power grids has grown in the city amid bad weather," it said.

There is currently no power supply to 135 substations. All electric companies are carrying out repairs. The electric transport service was stabilized in the Budennovsky, Kirovsky, Leninsky and Kalininsky districts in the morning.
