Poroshenko: most dangerous part of war in eastern Ukraine is now over

KYIV. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he is convinced that the peak of the military action in eastern Ukraine has now passed.

"I have no doubt that the main, the most dangerous part of the war, is now over thanks to the heroism of the Ukrainian troops," Poroshenko said while presenting Strategy 2020 in Kyiv on Thursday.

Poroshenko said he is convinced that his peace plan for settling the situation in eastern Ukraine has begun working.
