Aide confirms Putin sent letters to EU and Ukraine after Association Agreement ratification
MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - A Kremlin official has confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin forwarded letters to the leadership of the European Union and Ukraine detailing Moscow's stance on the ratification of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.
"I can confirm that appropriate letters that outlined our position concerning the possible consequences of the signing and ratification of Ukraine's Association Agreement with the EU were forwarded to the leaders of a number of countries, including Ukraine, as well as the leadership of the European Commission," Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Friday, answering a question from Interfax.
