Russia not involved in negotiations on implementation of ceasefire in eastern Ukraine - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has denied information on the meeting between Russian and Ukrainian military to determine a buffer zone between the positions of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and Ukraine.
In a commentary posted on its website on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry denied media reports stating that such a meeting is allegedly being held in the Donetsk region.
"All issues relating to the implementation of the ceasefire regime are being discussed by representatives of Ukraine and representatives of some districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The role of Russia as a member of the contact group is to provide the necessary support for this process in cooperation with the OSCE mission," the commentary says.
