Kyiv, Donetsk continue negotiating steps towards peace, have Russia's full support- Lavrov

NEW YORK. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The conflicting sides in Ukraine are still negotiating further measures as part of implementation of the peace plan, and Russia will do all it can to ensure these talks are productive, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"Talk is underway, no one is refusing from it. Whatever they claim in Kyiv, whatever they claim in Donetsk and Luhansk, they are negotiating further steps as part of the Minsk process. And we actively support this," Lavrov told a press conference in New York on Friday.

Russia will do all it can to ensure these talks continue and produce results, he added.
