DPR reports finding 350 bodies in 'spontaneous' graves

DONETSK. Sept 29 (Interfax) - The bodies of some 400 people are now in morgues in Donetsk and the nearby cities controlled by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Andrei Purgin, first deputy prime minister of the Donetsk People's Republic, said.

"There are 400 bodies in the morgues, of which 350 are civilians. Many of them are in such a condition that they just can't be identified," Purgin told reporters on Monday.

Purgin says that "all bodies were found in different places, which are now controlled by the militia, but were previously controlled by Ukrainian troops."

Some of the bodies were found in shallow [lit. 'spontaneous'] graves, Purgin said.

Interfax has no confirmation of this information from other sources.

Purgin said the DPR administration plans to seek Russian experts' assistance with the identification of the bodies using genetic tests.
