LPR says OSCE not doing enough for Minsk memorandum
MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) administration has alleged OSCE monitors have been working slowly in the fulfillment of the Minsk memorandum.
"Our guys have started demining operations themselves, without assistance from the OSCE. The work is being done, we are honoring the Minsk memorandum provisions," LPR Supreme Council Speaker Alexei Karyakin told Interfax.
The OSCE has not enlarged its monitoring team in the region despite promises, he pointed out. "The OSCE intended to enlarge the number of observers from 300 to 500 but that has not happened as of yet," Karyakin said.
