Greenpeace: Russian Investigative Committee closes Arctic Sunrise case

MOSCOW. Oct 1 (Interfax) - The Russian Investigative Committee has closed the criminal inquiry into the Greenpeace demonstration staged at the Prirazlomnaya oilrig in the Pechora Sea, the environmentalists have said.

"A detective told a Greenpeace lawyer that the Arctic Sunrise case had been closed," Greenpeace Russia press secretary Maria Favorskaya told Interfax on Wednesday.

"Some property, including notebooks of the crew and part of the ship's equipment, has not been returned to us so far. They have promised everything will be returned shortly," she said.

Interfax has yet to obtain related information from the Russian Investigative Committee.
