Air China largest foreign consumer of air navigation services in Russia in 2013

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Air China has become the largest foreign consumer of air navigation services in Russia, statistics of the expert council of the Russian government said.

The share of the company in total flights in 2013 was 5.9% or 56,800 aircraft-kilometers. Right behind the Chinese carrier is Germany's Lufthansa, whose share amounted to 5.8% last year or 55,600 aircraft-kilometers. The third largest leader for foreign air carriers was Korean Airlines with a share of 4.6% or 43,700 aircraft kilometers.

Of domestic carriers the leader for consumption of air navigation services in 2013 was Aeroflot , its share in total flights amounted to 20.8% or 203,100 aircraft-kilometers. In second place - UTair with a share of 10.7% or 105,300 aircraft-kilometers. In third was Transaero , whose share was 9.7% or 95,600 aircraft-kilometers. S7 Airlines was fourth with .6% or 84,600 aircraft-kilometers. Fifth place was held by Ural Airlines with a 5.4% share or 53,000 aircraft-kilometers.

According to data, 8,624 airline companies are consumers of air navigation services in Russia. In 2013, the length of air routes was 679,000 kilometers. The number of flights served last year was 1.418 million.
