Ukrainian forces hold part of underground communications at Donetsk Airport - DPR
DONETSK. Oct 6 (Interfax) - At this point the Ukrainian army forces continue to occupy part of underground communications and a forest line at Donetsk Airport, a source in the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic told Interfax on Monday.
"Ukrainian army units continue the hostilities in occupied positions in underground communications and in the plantation areas adjacent to the airport. Advancement is also being hampered by a large quantity of mines and trip wires," the source said.
Ukrainian officials were not immediately available for comment on this information.
It was reported earlier that militiamen had been able to seize control over key points of the airport.
