Lukashenko, Putin discuss tax maneuver, upcoming summits - Minsk

MINSK. Oct 7 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko discussed the upcoming Minsk summits and the oil tax maneuver being prepared in Russia with Russian President Vladimir Putin by telephone on Tuesday.

"The talks dealt with Russian-Belarusian trade and economic relations and the impact of the Russian tax maneuver on the Belarusian budget," the Belarusian president's press service told Interfax.

Lukashenko invited Putin to take part in the summit meetings of the Heads of State Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

The two presidents discussed the agenda of the summits, including the enlargement of the Eurasian Economic Union by admitting Armenia, the press service said.

Lukashenko congratulated Putin on his birthday," it said.
