Investigative Committee asks to be made third party in Prosecutor General's Office lawsuit against AFK Sistema

MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - The Russian Investigative Committee intends to become a party to the Prosecutor General's Office lawsuit against AFK Sistema seeking the return of Bashneft shares.

"I am asking you to make us a third party entitled to file motions and participate in the trial," an official with the Investigative Committee said in the Moscow Arbitration Court on Thursday.

Having heard the Investigative Committee official's statement, the judge said he will be given the floor later.

The Investigative Committee is investigating the criminal case involving the illegal sale of Bashneft shares.
