Russian, Belarusian and Kazakh leaders to discuss Ukraine-EU association accord - Kremlin official

MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - The presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will address Ukraine's signing of an association agreement with the European Union as a separate issue during a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on October 10, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov has said.

"The situation surrounding the association agreement between the EU and Ukraine will be discussed," he said at a press briefing on Thursday.

The leaders of these three states are convinced that this document will have "a negative impact on trade and economic ties with Ukraine," Ushakov said.

"Also, it is commonly known that the implementation of the trade and economic part of the agreement has been postponed until December 31, 2015, a circumstance that offers us a chance to discuss all unresolved issues," he said.
