Another 18 Ukrainian POWs released - Poroshenko

KYIV. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said six officers, 11 National Guard members, and one volunteer have been released by the militia.

"We have just been told that 18 troops have been released. Six officers were held in Donetsk and 11 National Guard members and one volunteer from the battalion Aidar have been released from Snizhne," Poroshenko said on the social networking site Vkontakte on Monday.

Markiyan Lubkivskiy, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Security Service, told a press conference on Monday that 752 military men had been sent home with assistance from the interdepartmental family assistance center

At the same time, he said over 500 people are still held by the militia.
