Kazakhstan's GDP grows 4% in Jan-Sept - Econ Ministry

ASTANA. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's GDP grew 4% in January-September of this year, Chairman of the Ministry of National Economy's Statistics Committee Alikhan Smailov said at a briefing in Astana on Tuesday.

"According to preliminary estimates, GDP grew 4% in January-September," he said.

As reported, the Kazakh government forecast GDP to grow 6% in 2014. Last week, however, Minister of National Economy Yebolat Dasayev said the government intended to revise its 2014 growth forecast for GDP and inflation.
