Central Bank puts information on Japan's JCB on register of payment system operators

MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia has put information about LLC JCB International (Eurasia) on the register of payment system operators as the operator of the JCB payment system, the Central Bank said.

Alfa Bank is the settlement center of the payment system, the payment clearing center is JCB International (Eurasia), the operations center is JCB International Co., which is registered in Tokyo.

Russian banks have started cooperation with Japan's JCB and China UnionPay after the main players on the payment system market, Visa and MasterCard, stopped servicing cards of SMP Bank and Bank Rossiya, which are under U.S. sanctions.
