Russian-Serbian crisis management center working in Nis
BELGRADE. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Artamonov has opened the crisis management center of the Russian-Serbian humanitarian center in Nis, Serbia.
"This center is a new generation management center, which will help to promptly react to emergencies, collect, analyze and exchange information to deal with these emergencies, and also monitor and predict possible emergencies," Artamonov said at a meeting of the Russian-Serbian humanitarian center.
Artamonov reiterated that the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry is interested in further strengthening cooperation with the Serbian Interior Ministry in the sphere of prevention of and dealing with the aftermath of emergencies.
Artamonov said the purpose of the center is solely humanitarian and its main function is to help people in emergencies.
