Lustration of officials, public servants to begin in Ukraine on November 1
KYIV. Oct 16 (Interfax) - The lustration of top officials and public servants will begin on November 1, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
"The government is adopting a decree approving the lustration plan in accordance with the law on lustration," he said, opening a government meeting on Thursday.
"The lustration, which will begin on November 1, 2014, will begin with the prime minister, the first deputy prime minister, deputy prime ministers, ministers, the heads of the central executive administration bodies who are not members of the Cabinet, the head of the National Bank, the head of the Central Elections Commission, members of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting, the heads of the external Intelligence Service and the State Protection Directorate, the head of the presidential administration, the head of the Cabinet secretariat, and members of all national commissions," Yatsenyuk said.
