Six civilians, two militiamen killed over weekend - Donetsk republic

DONETSK. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Six civilians were killed in shelling attacks on the weekend and eight were wounded, a spokesman for the interior ministry of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic, informed Interfax on Monday.

"Residents of Donetsk, Yasynuvata and Shakhtarsk were taken to hospitals with gunshot wounds. The youngest of them was 25 years old," the spokesman said.

Four teenagers were injured in Mospino as they were picking apart an unexploded round.

Reports have arrived that two militiamen were killed, he said.

The Donetsk City Council said on Monday morning that six residents had been wounded in the hostilities over the past 24 hours.
