Russia remains "key threat" to Georgia - Speaker Usupashvili
TBILISI. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Usupashvili regrets that relations between Tbilisi and Moscow have not so far been restored in full.
"Regrettably, we cannot say today that we and Russia have been friends for two centuries. Obviously, the settlement of our relations is a matter for the centuries to come. Relations between us may only get better in the middle of this century," he told reporters on Tuesday.
"So far, Russia remains a key threat to Georgia, and we should respond to this threat by robust actions of the state," Usupashvili said.
