Lavrov is concerned about attempts to revive neo-Nazism in Europe

MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Russia will continue to oppose any attempts to support neo-Nazi views, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We will continue to raise our voice against any attempts to enable or support the revival of neo-Nazi views, or appease those who want to go back to the philosophy of hatred and try to forget the victims of Nazism," Lavrov said during a meeting with the young people's Public Chamber on Wednesday.

"Falsification of history and re-writing the results of WW II - all these things contribute to attempts to undermine European values, which were proclaimed in European forums, including the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe," Lavrov said.

The minister said relations need to be established with colleagues abroad at the level of civil society to oppose such views.
