Palestinians to seek swift UN vote on their resolution - Gatilov

MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Palestine is not renouncing the idea of a vote in the very near future on a United Nations Security Council (UN SC) draft resolution in support of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Russia Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov told Interfax.

"The Palestinian resolution is ready and on the table of negotiations at the SC. Judging by the mood of the Palestinians, they are ready to continue pushing it forward," he said.

"As for the time when this draft is put to the vote, the Palestinians have yet to make up their minds," Gatilov said. "But one thing is clear: they are not renouncing the possibility of such a vote being held already in the very near future. They are definitely not going to delay this issue for a long time," Gatilov said.
