Tefft, Gatilov discuss Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ebola

MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov and the United States Ambassador to Russia John Tefft met on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Syria and Iraq.

"The meeting focused on the pressing international issues forming the agenda of the United Nations Security Council, including the situation in Syria and Iraq in the context of the fight against terrorism, the situation in Afghanistan, the status of the Middle East peace process, as well as international efforts to counter the spread of Ebola," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
