Magnit knows how to quickly adapt to import restrictions - Galitsky

MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax) - Magnit retail chain knew how to quickly adapt to food import restrictions imposed by the Russian government in response to Western sanctions.

""The third quarter was a challenging time for the business units of the company responsible for Logistics and Purchasing. A lot of effort was focused on achieving a high "service level" for food deliveries to our stores. We have a strong team and as a result, we managed to adapt to the changing conditions, in as short a time as possible, which resulted in a strong performance in the third quarter," Magnit CEO Sergei Galitsky was cited as saying in a company statement.

At the beginning of August, Russia banned the import of meat, milk, fish, fruit and vegetables from the United States, Canada, the European Union, Australia and Norway.
