Syrian foreign minister to visit Moscow

MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry is preparing for a visit by Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mualem to Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said.

"We are preparing for the visit of your foreign minister Mualem, who will come to Moscow," Bogdanov said at a meeting with Grand Mufti of Syria Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun on Monday.

Such meetings are very useful, Bogdanov told the mufti.

"Many problems are about ideology and worldview, we need to fight for people's minds," said the deputy minister.
