Ukraine's entry not on NATO immediate agenda - secretary general

BRUSSELS. Oct 28 (Interfax) - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has confirmed that the alliance has no immediate plans to consider Ukraine's possible accession to NATO.

The issue of Ukraine's membership is not on the agenda, Stoltenberg said in Brussels.

A decision was adopted at NATO's summit in Bucharest that Georgia and Ukraine would become the alliance's members, but Ukraine has not applied for membership so far, he added.
