FIFA to not boycott Russia 2018 World Cup - Blatter

MOSCOW. Oct 28 (Interfax) - The President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), Joseph Blatter, has ruled out a boycott against Russia hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2017.

It is impossible to boycott football in general, and FIFA firmly defends its decision to hold this championship in Russia, Blatter told the supervisory of the championship organizing committee.

He said that the competition for the title to host the event Russia had many rivals, with one of losers still holding a grudge. One must learn to lose, the FIFA president said.

The FIFA world cup is the biggest show in the world, he said.

Blatter also mentioned the emblem of the upcoming championship that he cannot yet show publicly. He said it will be unveiled to the public later. He said, however, that the emblem somewhat reflects the Russian soul.
