Weekly inflation in Russia slows to 0.2%, annual stays at 8.3% - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Inflation in Russia slowed to 0.2% in the week October 21-27, from 0.3% the previous week, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
Average daily price growth slowed to 0.030% in the week, from 0.033% over the first 20 days of the month. Prices rose 0.8% in the first 27 days of October and 7.1% since the start of the year, compared with 0.5% and 5.3% for the respective periods of last year. They grew 0.6% in October 2013 as a whole.
Rosstat stopped publishing inflation figures for the same dates last year in August 2014, but inflation was 0.1% in the week October 22-28 last year. In other words, inflation on an annualized basis remained at 8.3% on October 27 this year, as a week previously, and 0.3 percentage points above the Central Bank's key rate.
