Syrian foreign minister may visit Moscow before yearend

MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mualem may visit Moscow before the end of this year, Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad said.

"The precise date is unknown. We are working on it," the ambassador told reporters in Moscow on Thursday.

Haddad gave an affirmative answer to an Interfax question on whether the visit might take place in the next two months, before the end of this year.

Russian diplomats told Interfax the visit may happen even earlier, in the upcoming month.
