New claims against Sistema could be filed once Bashneft costs, inputs ascertained - source
MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The question of filing new financial claims against AFK Sistema in the case over Bashneft remains on the agenda but will be addressed after the oil company's shares are finally returned to the state, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax.
"Before new lawsuits are filed, a vast amount of preparatory work needs to be carried out to, not least to ascertain the volume of costs and inputs in Bashneft and simultaneously to establish the size of dividends," the source said.
The return of the illegally seized assets to the state "will be carried out gradually and in stages," he said.
"Today saw the first, one of the most important stages of this process completed. Subsequent actions of the state will depend on the opponents' positions," the source said.
On Thursday, the Arbitration Court of Moscow granted the request of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office for the return of Bashneft shares to the state.
