Conditions of trilateral protocol should be stated in supplement to contract between Naftogaz, Gazprom - Yatsenyuk
KYIV. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The fulfillment of the conditions of the trilateral protocol between Russia, the EU and Ukraine should be stated in the supplement to the contract between Naftogaz Ukrainy and JSC Gazprom, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
"Naftogaz and Gazprom will sign a supplement to the contract, which contains technical questions about the fulfillment of this trilateral document," he said, opening the Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
Yatsenyuk's press office Olga Lappo told Interfax, citing information possessed by Yatsenyuk that an agreement had been reached that Gazprom had agreed to stop the unfair use of the "take or pay" contract condition.
In addition, Gazprom will pay Naftogaz directly for gas transit.
The next round of the trilateral gas talks began in Brussels on Wednesday evening and continued until 5:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Russian side expects the negotiations to resume on Thursday evening.
