Russia to continue sending humanitarian aid to Donbas - minister
SOCHI. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will continue sending humanitarian convoys to eastern Ukraine after receiving all the necessary clearance, Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov told journalists.
"In coordination with our colleagues, we are preparing more convoys, and as soon as all clearance procedures are finished, we will certainly continue this work," Puchkov said.
A Russian humanitarian convoy delivered primary necessities and construction materials to Donbas on Friday to restore infrastructure facilities damaged in the course of the conflict, he said.
"We conducted an international operation yesterday. Food products, medicines, and construction materials were delivered to eastern regions of Ukraine to ensure priority measures aimed at restoring houses and social infrastructure, taking into account the upcoming winter," Puchkov said.
A Russian automobile convoy delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk and returned to Russia on Friday.
