Russian stock market opens with 0.6%-0.8% drop for MICEX, RTS indexes

MOSCOW. Nov 3 (Interfax) - The Russian stock market opened Monday with a decline for the majority of blue chips as the MICEX and RTS stock indexes lost 0.6%-0.8% in response to Asian shares falling into correction and a decrease in oil price in response to weak Chinese data.

The MICEX stock index declined 0.6% to 1480.13 after the first minute of trading and the RTS was down 0.8% at 1083.2. The majority of ruble-denominated blue chips on the Moscow Exchange declined within 1.7%.

Prices were down for VTB (-0.8%), Gazprom (-0.7%), Lukoil (-0.8%), Rosneft (-0.7%), Sberbank (-0.7%) and others.
