Russia's annual defense export targets being confidently met - Putin
MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Russia's 2014 targets for military exports have been met at 70% to date, said President Vladimir Putin.
"I will note that the annual plan of military-technical supplies is being confidently fulfilled. To date, our foreign customers have received $10 billion worth of Russian products. This is already virtually more than 70% of the total supplies planned for this year," Putin told a commission in charge of military-technical cooperation.
He also spoke of an important foundation being created for the future. "This year Russian arms makers signed new export contracts to the tune of over $7.5 billion. As a result, the order-book firmly holds at $50 billion. This is a good indicator," the president said.
