Some 50 houses in Donetsk cut off from heating by overnight strikes - city authorities
KYIV. Nov 6 (Interfax) - The Donetsk authorities have reported overnight shelling in the city.
"The situation was tense in Donetsk on the night of November 5-6. Residents have said that heavy gun salvoes and explosions were heard in all districts of the city," the Donetsk administration said on its website.
Artillery strikes disrupted power supplies to two boiler stations in the Kuibyshevskiy district, leaving 48 local residential buildings without central heating.
A power outage is still affecting the village of Trudovskiye, 1,200 private houses in the village of Oktyabrskiy and parts of Zastantsionny village.
"The situation was relatively calm in Donetsk at 10:00 a.m. local time [9:00 a.m. Kyiv time]. The city's infrastructure and all public transport services are functioning as usual," the administration said.
