Russian satellite likely to deorbit on Nov 8 - military

MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian satellite Kosmos 1441 will most likely leave orbit over the Pacific Ocean on Saturday, according to the Aerospace Defense Forces.

Analysis by a space investigation center of the Aerospace Defense Forces "makes it possible to forecast the deorbit of fragments of the Kosmos 1441 spacecraft over the Pacific Ocean on November 8," but the eventual date and place "may be different as a result of external effects," Defense Ministry spokesman Alexei Zolotukhin said.
