Builders begin installation of hydraulic turbines at Nizhne-Bureiskaya HPP
VLADIVOSTOK. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Builders have begun the installation of the embedded parts of the hydraulic turbines as part of the construction of the Nizhne-Bureiskaya HPP in the Amur region, the press service of OJSC RusHydro said.
In all four hydraulic units with a capacity of 80 MW each must be installed.
An agreement on the supply of the hydraulic units was concluded with OJSC Power Machines in October of 2013. The set of supplies includes turbines, generators and auxiliary equipment.
Water-propelled turbines will be installed at the Nizhne-Bureiskaya HPP, which are optimal for the planned water pressure and outflow of water at the HPP.
Nizhne-Bureiskaya HPP is the counter-regulator of Bureiskaya HPP, the second station in the Bureisky hydropower complex. The installed capacity of 320 MW (four hydraulic units), with planned average annual generation of 1.65 billion kWh.
The construction of Nizhne-Bureiskaya HPP has been ongoing since 2010, the construction of the station is one of the priority projects of RusHydro's investment program.
The electricity that will be generated at Nizhne-Bureiskaya HPP in the Amur region is already completely contracted. One of the main consumers of electricity will be the Vostochny Cosmodrome, which is under construction, as well as Transneft , Mechel and CJSC Petropavlovsk.
