Henkel revenue rises 1.2% in Q3; sales in Russia exceed expectations

MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - German chemical concern Henkel increased revenue in the third quarter 1.2% year-on-year to 4.236 billion euro, the company said in a statement.

Organic growth in sales amounted to 2.3%.

The Russian market contributed greater sales than anticipated, despite the political tension, while sales in Ukraine declined. In August, Henkel had warned that the conflict in Ukraine and destabilization of the situation in the Middle East could impact the company's financial performance.

Adjusted net profit in the three months rose 6.7% to 508 million euro.

Henkel has three main lines of business - cleansers and detergents, cosmetics and personal hygiene products, and glues and technologies. In Russia, Henkel produces cleansers and detergents at Henkel-Era (Tosno, Leningrad Region), Henkel-Pemos (Perm), and Henkel-Yug (Engels, Saratov Region).
