Russian Foreign Ministry: Russia will do everything to prevent resumption of large-scale fighting in Ukraine

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Russia will do everything possible to prevent a resumption of large-scale military action in eastern Ukraine, which would be catastrophic not only for the situation in Ukraine, but would also have an extremely negative effect on the situation in the region, Russian Foreign Ministry official Alexander Lukashevich said.

"We need to do absolutely everything to prevent this scenario [military action], which Russia is trying to do by calling on the international participants in this process to prevent Kyiv from planning a resumption of large-scale military action," Lukashevich told a briefing in Moscow on Thursday.
