Putin: Russia, France should minimize risks in bilateral relations
BRISBANE. Nov 15 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on French President Francois Hollande to do everything possible together to minimize risks in relations between the two countries.
"There are a lot of turbulent factors in international affairs today, and our positions do not coincide on all issues. This makes it even more important to have an opportunity to meet and talk, and do all we can to minimize risks in our bilateral relations," Putin said at a meeting with Hollande on the sidelines of a G20 summit in Brisbane, Australia.
Russia and France have long enjoyed not only warm but also "useful and mutually beneficial relations," Putin said.
"It is a great pleasure to have the chance to meet with you separately on the sidelines of a G20 summit," he said addressing Hollande.
